Unapproved listings – how to fix them

Most common problems

 

1. Bank / Paypal details are missing

Your bank account / Paypal details are not in the system yet, so buyers cannot pay you. If you have no account details, the “buy” button does not work, so you can´t sell your item.

Once the payment details are in the system, the listing will be approved.

Please be aware, your bank account details are not seen by us, or by the buyer.

1. For bank accounts, the details are only held by Stripe (they process over $250 billion of customer transactions per year). The buyer sends their money to Stripe, & Stripe sends it on to you.

2.For Paypal, the buyer (and us) will only know your Paypal email address and your Paypal username.

 Here is how you can fix this quickly…

Please take a couple of minutes and enter your payment details & your listing will be finished.

Go to the listing (https://usmarketplace.squeakycleantoys.com/en/login)login, hover over your initials (top right), select Settings, and then Payments.

You can now enter your details for either your bank account or for Paypal.

2. Sterilization issue

You may not have complied with the sterilization or sanitization requirements at all, or you may just have done it incorrectly.

1. Open and unused items

Usually need to be cleaned and sanitized to a disinfection level

 

2. Open and used 

Usually need to be fully sterilized fully according to one of the methods in the tick list, and a photo must be added to show how it was done.

Maybe also check some other sellers listings for the same item so you can check what got through approval!

3. Problem with photos

The three main issues with photos are:

1. There are no photos at all

Nobody is going to buy a used item without seeing it first, so a bare minimum one photo is required. But if you can take several photos showing all sides of the toy and also any defects (scratches, marks, etc) then you have a much better chance of getting a sale.

or

2. The photos are only stock photos (i.e. commercial shots taken from the manufacturer’s website)

People want to see YOUR item, not just a general brochure shot. You would never sell your house but showing a picture of A house – the buyers want to see your house ! It is the same with the toys.

or

3. You still need to add a photo of the item being sterilized

Make sure that the picture matches the type of sterilization you have ticked in the ‘current condition’ field

or

4. The photos are not clean or clear or sufficient, or contain personal details 

Make sure the items are clean and clear, and include any detailed parts. Don’t show yourself or any other person in the picture unless it is just a hand or arm holding the item. Don’t include any personal details except perhaps a piece of paper with only your SQUEAKY marketplace name and date on it.  

Here is how you can fix this quickly…

Go to the listing (https://usmarketplace.squeakycleantoys.com/en/login)login, hover over your initials (top right), and select My Listings.

Find the listing that has the photo problem and edit it by clicking on the pencil icon. The photos are at the bottom of the listing – just update them and hit save.

4. Problems with the material field

We have given you many different materials to choose from in the “Material: ” field such as silicone, glass, leather, etc. but the two main issues we find are:

1. Wrong material ticked

You will not get approval if the material you stated does not match what is shown for that item on other online sites. The first is Silicone and this gets ticked often when the item is clearly not Silicone ( e.g. a Fleshlight sleeve ).

You can tick more than one material, as items can be made up of several. However the one we are most interested in is when it´s an insertable item like a dildo, or a masturbator, we need to know what that material is. So it needs to be stated clearly by ticking the right material – and OTHER is a valid choice too.

Tick OTHER this when your material is porous.

2. “Other” material not detailed fully

However, if you choose “other” then we need to know what it is. Many people nowadays want to ensure they are buying toys made of non-toxic materials & that they are also body-safe so it is important to get the material right. Choose this if your material is TPE / TPR for example, and state clearly in the additional information field more detail about the actual material. 

Listing is not automatic, and our approvals team act like buyers. They will want to know the brand,  and the material and they want to be able to verify it. So they will check your item out online. To make it easy and fast, just provide us with a web link to the item brand new on the manufacturer´s site or on a reputable shop site like Adam & Eve or Lovehoney, etc. (not Amazon or eBay)  This should give us the material and price and any other information we need.

Go to the listing (https://usmarketplace.squeakycleantoys.com/en/login)login, hover over your initials (top right), select My Listings.

Find the listing that has the “Material:” problem and edit it by clicking on the pencil icon. Add the type of material into the description field.

5. Other

In this case we will usually close the listing but write in the title that it is incomplete for one of the following reasons. 

 

1. Your item does not comply with the basic listing requirements, or the special dolls listing requirements.

2. Your brand isn´t a listed one, and you have not listed the actual brand in “Additional information” so the approvals team cannot check it. 

3. The price of your secondhand item is either higher than or too close to the price of the same new item that a buyer can find on another reputable site.

4. You have simply listed too many items for now. Special permission may be granted for more than 3 listings at any one time. We´ll email or chat to you about it on the comments part of your listing.

5. You haven’t completed all the listing fields correctly.

 

If none of the above reasons seem to apply to your listing, please let us know and we will do everything we can take a look and see why the listing has not been approved.

 

6. Common reasons for Rejected listings

 

1. Your item does not comply with the body-safe policy

2. Your item does not comply with the basic listing requirements, or the special dolls listing requirements.

3. Your brand isn’t a listed one, and you have not listed the actual brand in “Additional information” so the approvals team cannot check it. Or, it is unbranded, or the brand/model combination you have stated cannot be found online by our team.

4. The item is generally not appropriate for this site, in our opinion.

5. The price of your secondhand item is either higher than, or too close to the price of the same new item that a buyer can find on another reputable site.

6. You might appear to be a commercial seller.

7. You are listing a new item sold in a plastic bag that looks like it is from a Chinese site like AliExpress/DHgate type of product only.

8. You are listing a product that is only  fulfilled by Amazon or Ebay.

9. The item is broken.

If none of the above reasons seem to apply to your listing, let us know and we can take a look and see why the listing has not been approved. We will generally approve all outstanding items once every day so it should never take more than 24 hours to approve a new listing.

If you make changes to your listing once it has been approved, it will need to be re-approved so just hold on for 24 hours and it should be re-approved and added back onto the live listings.

If we don´t hear from you, the system automatically deletes all unapproved listings 7 days later, so please let us know as soon as the listing is ready for approval & we can get your listing live !
